Effective: October 13, 2026
Welcome to LOUD BREAKS. We bring hockey-card collectors together through live breaks. These terms explain purchases made directly through our website. Separate platforms, such as Whatnot, also have their own terms.
LOUD BREAKS is operated by Philip Marsh, sole proprietor, operating Cedarsmith under the LOUD BREAKS brand, based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our business mailing address is 411 Country Glen Way, Kanata, Ontario, K2T 0H9, Canada. For help with an order or these terms, contact office@cedarsmith.com.
1. Choosing your break
Each listing explains the product, box configuration, format, price and allocation rules for that break. Please read it before purchasing.
Random Team breaks have 32 lucky numbered spots at the same posted price. You may choose more than one available spot. A lucky spot number is not an NHL team number and does not let you choose a specific team. NHL teams are assigned through a separate randomization after the break sells out.
Pick Your Team breaks offer all 32 NHL teams at individually posted prices. Each team is available once per individual break. You may purchase multiple available teams in one order, including teams from different breaks. Availability belongs to each specific break.
You receive the cards associated with your assigned or purchased team according to that break’s posted rules. Card Allocation & Team Assignments sets out our approved rules for standard cards, Team Canada and All-Star cards, historical franchises, multi-team cards and unclear assignments. The same policy applies to Random Team and Pick Your Team breaks. Multi-team cards use four Random.org randomizations, with the fourth determining the winning eligible team; ambiguous assignments require manual review before allocation.
Adding a selection to your cart does not guarantee it remains available. Availability is checked again during checkout. Your order identifies the break title, break number and selected lucky numbers or teams.
2. Prices and payment
All prices and charges are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Advertised spot prices include applicable sales tax. Regular shipping to eligible Canadian and US destinations is free. TAX INCLUDED. FREE SHIPPING. NO SURPRISES. Applicable included taxes and any explicitly chosen optional service are disclosed at checkout before you place your order.
We accept PayPal and manual Interac e-Transfer. PayPal payments are processed through PayPal at checkout.
Interac payment is due within one hour of placing your order. Send the exact CAD order total to office@cedarsmith.com and include your order number in the transfer message. Never send banking passwords through our website or by email.
An Interac order stays On hold while payment is awaiting verification and its selections remain reserved. An order confirmation or On-hold status does not mean we have received your payment. We verify receipt before marking the order paid. Unpaid orders may be manually cancelled and the selections returned to availability where eligible. We do not automatically cancel an order simply because the one-hour deadline passes.
If you need help making payment, contact us with your order number.
3. Breaks that do not fill; cancellations and refunds
If a break does not fill, you may request a full refund. LOUD BREAKS will initiate the refund within 24 hours of receiving your request. Your payment provider may take longer to return the funds.
Once a break begins, purchases are final, except for LOUD BREAKS errors, cancelled breaks and applicable consumer protection rights. These terms do not remove rights you have under applicable law.
Send refund requests and payment questions to office@cedarsmith.com, including the order and break numbers so we can identify the correct purchase. No additional cancellation restrictions are introduced by these terms.
4. Shipping
We ship from Ottawa, Ontario, to Canada and the United States. Regular shipping is FREE for eligible orders to Canada and the United States: CAD $0 per order, with one ordinary shipment. Your checkout shows the charges for your order.
We do not currently offer website shipping to other countries. No guaranteed shipping or delivery timeframe is stated. Contact us with shipping questions before ordering if timing is important to you.
LOUD LOOT HOLD is optional and is offered only when the checkout explicitly makes it available. It costs CAD $20 including applicable tax per Eastern calendar month (America/Toronto; EST/EDT), with no prorating for late enrolment. It begins only after verified payment and ends at the displayed end of the paid calendar month. An account is required; additional eligible purchases may join the active hold without another initial monthly charge, without restarting or extending the month. Customers may explicitly purchase the next month for CAD $20, up to three consecutive paid months. No automatic recurring charges apply. Seven days before expiry we prepare a reminder to renew or request shipment; at the third-month maximum only shipment is offered. At expiry without a response, the hold goes to manual shipping review, without automatic renewal, dispatch, disposal or forfeiture. One consolidated shipment is included when the hold ends. Up to 2 kg is included; heavier parcels retain the allowance and extra costs require a quote and customer approval. Cards valued above CAD $500 are accepted with insurance/tracking/signature review; any additional costs require customer discussion and approval before shipping. Confirm the saved shipping address when requesting shipment. Unresolved linked purchases must be reviewed before dispatch. A payment arriving after the disclosed month or renewal eligibility window needs manual review; it does not silently activate or extend the service.
